How will the launch happen?

Later, he went on to obtain a master’s degree and doctorate degree in mechanical engineering from the California Institute of Technology. Before joining NASA, he was a flight test engineer for the US Air Force. He became a NASA astronaut in 2000 and has since completed two space shuttle flights. These include STS-123 in March 2008 and STS-130 in February 2010. In each mission, he took 3 space walks.

Hurley will serve as the mission’s spacecraft commander, responsible for launch, landing and recovery activities. He was born in Endicott, USA. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Turan University, Louisiana. He later went to the U.S. Naval Experimental Pilot School in Maryland. Before becoming a NASA astronaut, he was a fighter pilot in the U.S. Marine Corps. He became a NASA astronaut in 2000 and completed two space flights. Hurley was the pilot of the last US space shuttle mission STS-135 in July 2011.
