Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will be released on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on August 20th. Bundled in Director’s Cut will be the original game and all DLC released so far by game developer Sucker Punch. PS5 players will also get some additional content, including support for DualSense adaptive triggers and 4K/60fps compatibility. The regular version of “The Ghost of Tsushima” was released in July 2020 and became one of the fastest-selling PlayStation original games by November.

Sucker Punch announced the ghost of Director Tsushima’s cut version on the PlayStation blog. The Director’s Cut version is priced at US$69.99 (approximately Rs 5,200) on PS5 and US$59.99 (approximately Rs 4,500) on PS4.

However, if players already own the regular version of the game on PS4, they can upgrade to Director’s Cut on PS4 for $19.99 (approximately 1,500 rupees) from August 20th. Players who wish to upgrade to Director’s Cut on PS5 can do so for $29.99 (approximately Rs 2,200). In addition, players who have the Director’s Cut version on PS4 can upgrade to the PS5 version at any time for $9.99 (approximately 750 rupees).

The director’s cut version of the Ghost of Tsushima also received the Iki Island expansion pack. The Iki Island expansion pack comes with new stories, new characters, new exploration environments, new armors for Jin and his horse, new mini-games, new technologies, new enemy types, etc. Sucker Punch also added a new animal that Jin can pet.

The PS5 version of Director’s Cut version has some exclusive new features. The game will now provide Japanese lip sync, which is a feature requested by many players. The game also utilizes the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers of the DualSense controller. In addition, there are 3D audio enhancements, improved load times, 4K resolution options, and 60fps targets.

The developer mentioned that players who own “Soul of Tsushima” on PS4 will be able to transfer their saved games to their PS5 console. Starting from Act 2, if existing players have reached the Toyotama area, the new Iki Island content will be available to them.

In addition to Director’s Cut, Ghost of Tsushima owners can also download patches that include game updates. The patch will include some new accessibility options for the alternate controller layout, the option to enable target locking during combat, and the option to hide the quiver during the game. Soul of Tsushima: Legendary players will also get a brand new mode that the developer will announce in the coming weeks.
