Property & Casualty Insurance Hong Kong, a subsidiary of Property & Casualty Insurance International Holdings Limited, announced the appointment of Will Wang as head of casualty insurance business in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. The appointment will be effective on December 29, 2025.
Wang will be based in Hong Kong and will report to Sompo Hong Kong CEO Alasdair Walker, and to Asia Pacific (APAC) casualty head MJ Tan.
In his new role, he will lead the casualty underwriting team focused on growing a profitable general liability and workers’ compensation portfolio through new business development and renewal retention, while supporting Asia Pacific to drive scale and sustainable growth.
Wang has over 15 years of experience working in the casualty insurance field with international companies in Greater China.
He has deep market knowledge, expertise in underwriting complex accounts and a proven track record of building strong broker relationships, according to the company.
Prior to joining Sompo, he worked for Starr Insurance for eight years, most recently as head of casualty insurance.
Previously, Mr. Wang held various positions at AIG, International SOS and China Continent Property & Casualty Insurance Co., Ltd.
