Property and casualty insurance company Skyward Specialty has partnered with artificial intelligence underwriting company Sixfold to accelerate the company’s U.S. property and casualty insurance underwriting process that will be fully AI-driven.

The partnership reinforces Skyward Specialty’s long-term commitment to become a more data-driven, insightful and operationally efficient underwriting organization.

Sixfold’s AI platform is designed to support underwriters by pre-processing submissions and providing data-driven recommendations such as risk summaries, preference adjustments and prioritization.

This enables underwriters to apply their professional judgment based on a comprehensive information base, ensuring high-quality results.

Andrew Robinson, Chairman and CEO of Skyward Specialty, commented: “We have been on our AI underwriting journey for several years. Our focus is on empowering our people – providing underwriters with deeper insights, faster access to information and freeing them up to focus on making excellent underwriting decisions and delivering best-in-class service to our brokerage partners.

“Our partnership with Sixfold is another important step in this journey. The platform enhances underwriting insight, consistency, analytics and responsiveness and creates a virtuous learning cycle that drives optimal outcomes while placing human expertise at the center of underwriting decisions.”

Robinson added: “This is the kind of rigorous innovation that will continue to help us deliver strong results, and it forms a key part of our learning curve and first-mover advantage in the AI underwriting arms race. We are determined to stay ahead of the curve in leveraging advanced technology to serve the specialty insurance market, and our partnership with the Sixfold team is a key part of realizing this ambition.”

Sixfold’s technology and implementation procedures enabled Skyward Specialty to deploy quickly. Their platform currently runs across six business units and more than a dozen product lines, with an average deployment time of just eight to ten weeks.

This speed to market highlights Skyward Specialty’s ability to quickly integrate high-impact innovation across the enterprise.

“After the initial pilot, Skyward’s first team went live in just ten weeks and began scaling immediately,” said Sixfold founder and CEO Alex Schmelkin. “Skyward underwriters use Sixfold every day, allowing them to enhance expertise, reduce manual tasks and ensure consistency, giving Skyward a real competitive advantage. This is what competition will look like in 2026 – Skyward Specialty already exists.”
