Specialty insurer and reinsurer SiriusPoint has appointed Sabra Purtill to its board of directors, effective March 25, 2026.
At the same time, Franklin (Tad) Montross IV and Peter Tan will resign from the Board of Directors effective May 20, 2026.
Purtill has four decades of experience in the insurance and financial services sectors, with expertise in corporate finance, capital markets, treasury and financial reporting.
In the past, she has held senior positions at AIG, Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc., Assured Guaranty Ltd and ACE Limited (now Chubb).
Purtill commented: “SiriusPoint is at an important stage of its growth with a clear focus on discipline, resilience and long-term value. I look forward to working with the Board and management team to help guide the business into its next phase.”
Montross IV joined SiriusPoint’s Board of Directors in 2021 as Chairman of the Risk and Capital Management Committee and a member of the Audit and Compensation Committees.
Additionally, Tan joined the Board of Directors in 2021 and serves on the Investment Committee and Risk and Capital Management Committee.
Their service on the Board and its committees will end immediately upon the conclusion of SiriusPoint’s 2026 Annual Meeting of Shareholders on May 20, 2026.
