Global life and health reinsurer Reinsurance Group of America, Inc. (RGA) has announced the appointment of Logan Blake as president of its Bermuda operations.
Blake has over 20 years of actuarial experience in a variety of practice areas, including reinsurance, product development, individual life and annuities, Bermuda EBS, U.S. GAAP/STAT accounting, capital management, pricing, group life and group disability.
Prior to joining RGA, he served as Chief Actuary at Somerset Reinsurance, where he was primarily responsible for managing Somerset’s IFRS 17 reporting and EBS capital position.
Prior to that, Blake served as Director of Reinsurance Actuarial Pricing for Athene, where he oversaw the development and pricing of new products for flow reinsurance treaties. He also led the pricing of UK pension collective transactions, including liability analysis, portfolio development and legal entity structuring.
Earlier in his career, he held senior actuarial positions at CNO Financial Group and OneAmerica.
