Global insurance company QBE has appointed Jesús Prieto Santa-Cruz as European technology and business performance manager.
In his new role, Santa Cruz will focus on strengthening the insurer’s portfolio management capabilities across Europe, working closely with portfolio managers and underwriters.
In addition, he will support deeper portfolio segmentation and analysis to optimize underwriting strategies and work with product managers across Europe to develop and drive key underwriting priorities.
Most recently, Santa Cruz served as Head of Pricing and Portfolio Management for the Mid-Cap and SME divisions at Allianz Spain.
He has worked for Allianz Spain for 14 years, holding positions including head of commercial insurance pricing, pricing actuary and actuarial analyst.
In the past, he was a junior actuary at Aon, responsible for non-life reinsurance optimization in Spanish companies and natural catastrophe modeling in Portuguese companies.
He started his career as an actuarial trainee at WTW and as a junior consultant at KPMG in Spain.
