Krafton announced through a post on its website that Battlegrounds Mobile India will begin pre-registration through the Google Play store on May 18. The developer also shared that those who pre-register will receive specific rewards that can be obtained when the game is officially released. As mentioned earlier, Krafton has not yet shared the release date of the game. However, it does mock one of the maps that will appear in the game-it seems to be PUBG Mobile’s popular 4×4 map-Sanhok. Although, it may not be called Sanhok.
Battlegrounds Mobile India will have similar gameplay to PUBG Mobile, but will undergo some India-specific adjustments. It will come with exclusive in-game activities, bringing new equipment and features. The developer said that the game will also debut with its own e-sports ecosystem, which will include competitions and leagues. Battlegrounds Mobile India will be exclusive to the country.
In September last year, PUBG Mobile and 117 other applications were banned in India. Since then, the ownership of the game has changed, and Krafton has been trying to relaunch it in India. Now, it finally succeeded, despite the new avatar, Indian fans are once again close to the first step of playing the game.
