PlayStation 5 replenishment has come and gone again. India’s reservations for PS5 went live at 12 noon on May 27 (Thursday), and all inventory disappeared within a few minutes, which is to be expected. However, Amazon is the only company to display PS5 inventory within a few minutes. Just like last time, Flipkart went from “coming soon” to “sold out” even before 12 noon. The game store closed 15 minutes before the booking started-it never seems to have been restored. The prepaid player card started experiencing multiple connection timeout errors before 12pm. Croma also suffered from a power outage before the scheduled time, but recovered soon after. Within a minute, Vijay Sales’s PS5 was out of stock. And I never even found a buy button on Sony Center and Reliance Digital.
At this point, it’s basically the same story. This situation once again shows that although it has repeatedly witnessed amazing demand, Sony continues to bring very few PS5 devices to India. Faced with reality, India is not a priority market for PlayStation. By 2022, global demand will exceed supply, and the situation will not improve soon. This is only the third pre-order for PS5 India. Although on the surface it is only 10 days from the previous replenishment, this is done by dividing the same inventory into two parts. According to reports, all of this ensures that certain PS5 units will be closer when the next PS5 exclusive “Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart” is released.
PlayStation 5 review: a new era, half a jump
Speaking of transportation, Sony Center and Flipkart are expected to start deliveries on June 7. By about 12:05 pm, Amazon gave a delivery date between June 8th and 11th. At the same time, Croma stated that it will be delivered to my home before June 11. I cannot get shipping estimates from other channels (game store, prepaid player card, Reliance Digital or Vijay Sales), so if you can get to the order completion page, please let us know in the comments below.
If you are waiting for the PS5 digital version, I would also like to hear from you. This version is only available once and is still ignored by Sony India.
At present, all PS5 replenishment seems to have been exhausted, but you can always follow the above eight websites and register for notification. However, if there is a game store nearby, you may be lucky. Sony India also set up a helpline at 1800-103-7799 to help PlayStation fans find local retailers across India. Similarly, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, most game stores will not be able to provide services to you, depending on the restrictions of your place of residence.
