Professional managing general agent (MGA) Prestige Underwriting has announced the promotion of Katy Peacock to head of home, product and governance.
In her new role, Peacock will leverage her more than 20 years of personal lines underwriting experience to oversee the development and governance of Prestige’s home insurance product portfolio, which includes ensuring rigorous underwriting rigor and offering top-tier non-standard home products.
She will work closely with Charlotte Baker and Emma Attfield, who will support her in leading the home underwriting team.
Baker, a former real estate underwriting team leader, is now an underwriting manager, while Attfield has moved from a program manager role to a product manager role.
Alison Williams, managing director of Prestige Underwriting, said: “Katy’s promotion is well-deserved. She has been an important part of our underwriting team for many years and I’m delighted to see her progress further within the home underwriting team.”
“Katie’s expertise and proactive leadership will drive the team forward, strengthen our support for brokers and enable continued growth in the non-standard home insurance market.”
Peacock joined Prestige Underwriting in 2015 and gained a deep understanding of the needs of the non-standard home insurance and broker markets through her role as Technical Underwriting Manager (her most recent role).
In this role, she is responsible for managing the company’s home insurance products across all geographies and overseeing underwriting processes and product governance to ensure Prestige’s home portfolio meets regulatory standards and broker requirements.
Peacock commented: “I’m delighted to be taking on this role and I plan to continually enhance our home underwriting offering. My focus is on further developing our home insurance products and governance to support our broker partners and the wider market.
“I look forward to building on our success – strengthening our home underwriting portfolio and delivering more value to brokers and clients.”
