PS5 world record sales

The game console was launched in multiple regions on November 12, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, etc. Since Sony opened pre-orders, the demand has been high. For regions where sales have begun, such as North America and Europe, it is difficult for people to place orders to purchase consoles because Sony cannot replenish inventory (virtual and physical hosting) to meet demand, and consoles are often out of stock.
The report also added that Sony is expected to distribute more PlayStation 5 devices to the Asian market after January 2021. Hope this situation will be better in terms of pre-orders and availability in India and will not be as confusing as in other regions.Sony also apologize Pre-order status for countries where the game console initially has a release date and has promised to provide more units to meet demand.
Despite the supply shortage, the company was able to set a new sales record for its PlayStation console. The report also pointed out that if Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) and back-end service companies can provide additional capacity support, Sony expects to ship 16.8 million to 18 million PS5 units in 2021. The 7-nanometer CPU of the PS5 is produced by AMD, and the company has reportedly obtained the necessary components from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) to allow production partners to improve console output.
