Independent insurance broker Lockton has announced the appointment of Patrick Häusler as Head of Business Development at Lockton Switzerland.
In his new role, Häusler will be based in Zurich and work closely with colleagues in Switzerland, the wider region, London and the United States to drive growth and bring Lockton’s global capabilities to the Swiss market.
He has more than thirty years of insurance industry experience with expertise in underwriting and strategic distribution leadership.
Häusler joins Lockton from Liberty Specialty Markets where he was head of Swiss distribution. Prior to this, he served as Key Account Manager for Suva Association. He also served on Generali’s sales leadership team for over 15 years.
Earlier in his career, he worked at Helvetia Insurance, Vauudoise Assurances and Zurich Insurance in Switzerland.
Stephan Bachmann, CEO of Lockton Switzerland, commented: “Having opened offices in Zurich and Geneva last year, Patrick will bring new insights to our growth strategy in Switzerland. He will join the strong team we have established locally and lead our strategy to find new multinational and large domestic clients.”
In November 2025, Lockton strengthened its presence in Switzerland with the opening of new offices in Zurich and Geneva, and Stephan Bachmann was appointed CEO of Lockton Switzerland GmbH. The move represents a considered investment to move closer to clients and provide specialized services to large companies facing complex cross-border and domestic risks.
