Digital business interruption solutions provider Parametrix has announced the hiring of three experts to support growing demand for its network, unexpected business interruption and data center insurance solutions.
Parametrix’s product portfolio – which includes data center SLA products and “CyberPMX” (network and technology E&O with embedded parameterized BI) – has gained significant traction due to high demand for new ways to manage network, technology outage and service level agreement (SLA) exposure.
The new hires will help Parametrix strengthen underwriting, distribution and claims execution.
Eva Kwan has been appointed Head of Claims and Legal, where she will oversee legal, regulatory and compliance matters while also managing the company’s claims strategy and execution.
Kwan has nearly two decades of insurance underwriting and claims experience, most recently as Vice President of Claims at At-Bay.
Prior to joining At-Bay, the executive served as head of cyber, media and technology claims for Allianz North America; and as assistant vice president of claims for Hiscox USA, overseeing media, technology and other professional liability claims.
Mr Kwan is a solicitor and also has experience as an external adviser to domestic and Lloyd’s insurance clients, advising and representing insurance companies in insurance disputes. In addition, she represents corporate clients in broader commercial litigation matters.
Albert Huang serves as vice president and head of U.S. national wholesale underwriting. Based in San Francisco, Albert brings extensive underwriting experience from Liberty Mutual and At-Bay.
In his new role, he will work with wholesale brokers nationwide to deliver differentiated solutions covering cyber liability, technical E&O and unplanned business interruption risks, while strengthening Parametrix’s wholesale-focused product offerings across the broader broker ecosystem.
Kerri Colwell has been named digital infrastructure practice director, responsible for supporting the build and distribution of the company’s data center SLA solutions.
Colwell joins Parametrix with more than 11 years of experience in data center development and financing, most recently as senior vice president of institutional real estate at Citizens Bank, where he specialized in underwriting and structuring large-scale digital infrastructure transactions.
Rick Wong, Head of Insurance at Parametrix, commented: “This is just the beginning of our expansion of the cyber underwriting team. Demand for our technology and cyber products continues to accelerate, and the addition of Albert and Eva clearly reflects this growth and our long-term commitment to the wholesale and retail broker communities.”
“We are actively investing in underwriting and claims capabilities and expect to continue growing the team as adoption grows and brokers look to us to support increasingly complex placements.”
“These hires are designed to position Parametrix for the next phase of growth,” said Jonathan Hatzor. “As business disruption and SLA performance risk become core financial considerations for network and digital infrastructure customers, we are investing in leaders who have the right combination of market expertise and execution.
“Kerri understands how data center risk intersects with financing and valuation, which is exactly what our broker partners need as SLA risk becomes a core consideration in transactions,” added Hatzor. “Albert brings exceptional cyber underwriting expertise and market coverage at a time when our hybrid networking products are rapidly expanding. And Eva’s deep experience in cyber and technology claims is critical as we continue to grow our business while maintaining the claims standards brokers expect.”
