Pacific Life Re names Swiss Re’s Jia Yi Tan as Global CUO and Claims Officer

Life and health reinsurer Pacific Life Re has appointed Jia Yi Tan as its new claims and global chief underwriting officer (CUO), based in Singapore.

In her new role, Tan succeeds Andrew Doran, who has been promoted to CEO of UnderwriteMe, Pacific Life Re’s insurtech subsidiary.

Her appointment underscores the reinsurer’s commitment to investing in top talent, expanding its presence in key markets and delivering solutions that meet the evolving needs of its clients.

Tan has nearly two decades of experience in Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas, including the past five years with Swiss Re.

Her deep insurance expertise coupled with a proven leadership record will further advance Pacific Life Re’s strategic focus in the global protection market.
