Opera GX Mobile is a game browser based on Android and iOS, based on the company’s rapidly growing Opera GX. Opera Software, the developer of the Opera browser, launched the desktop-oriented Opera GX in June 2019, which is said to be the world’s first gaming browser. Now, the game browser has entered the mobile platform in the form of the first beta version. Opera calls it “the world’s first mobile browser for games” and will be released publicly within a few weeks.
Through a press release, Opera shared the information that Opera GX Mobile beta has been launched for Android and iOS. It brings many functions, such as GX corners, fast action buttons (FAB), vibration and tactile feedback, flow, etc. GX Corner is the main screen of Opera GX Mobile. It not only displays game news, but also displays game deals and discounts, release dates, upcoming games, trailers, and has features for Windows, Mac, Linux, console and VR Filter.
FAB replaces the single button with click and hold operation in Opera GX Mobile, and replaces the three-button navigation bar at the bottom. When interacting with the elements in the button, FAB also has vibration and tactile feedback. The streaming function allows you to connect your mobile device with your PC to synchronize your mobile and desktop experience. This will synchronize the mobile version of Opera GX to the desktop version by scanning the QR code. It is “a chat-like space shared between a mobile browser and a computer browser, allowing you to send files, links, YouTube videos, photos, and personal notes, and access them at any time from a connected mobile phone or computer.” It can be used to share files up to 10MB.
There are four different color themes in Opera GX Mobile-GX Classic, Purple Haze, Ultra Violet and White Wolf. It also comes with a built-in ad blocker, cookie conversation blocker, encryption currency mining protection, and pop-up blocker.
Opera GX Mobile is available in Beta versions of Android and iOS, and will be publicly released in a few weeks.
Opera GX for Desktop was launched in 2019, allowing users to set CPU and RAM limits, and also shows how much CPU and RAM resources are currently in use. So far, these features are not available on the mobile version, but may be provided with future updates.
