Streaming media giant Netflix launched an online store called Netflix.shop, which is the company’s first self-operated and operated retail store that directly sells products.
According to Variety, the online store will regularly sell exclusive limited editions of “carefully selected high-quality clothing and lifestyle products” related to Netflix’s shows and brands.
The Netflix online store is about to launch exclusive merchandise based on “The Witcher” and “Stranger Things”, two original series with avid fans, as well as new Netflix logo clothing from Japanese fashion company BEAMS, reportedly Josh Simon, vice president of consumer products at Netflix.
The products that debuted on the online store this month are streetwear and action dolls based on the anime series “Yasuke” and “Eden”, as well as limited edition clothing and accessories inspired by the French thriller series “Lupin”. Cooperation with the Louvre Museum.
To launch this store, the company launched a series of anime-inspired collections from three budding designers: Nathalie Nguyen, Kristopher Kites and Jordan Bentley.
Netflix uses Shopify to develop and launch an e-commerce website. The shopping site will first be launched in the United States and then expanded to other countries in the coming months.
Netflix has obtained license agreements for hundreds of products based on its original programming, which are sold by Target, Wal-Mart, Amazon, H&M, Sephora and other retailers.
