Karan Johar’s Dharmatic (the digital division of Dharma Productions) is the most common installation in the new section of Netflix, with five projects in total. Other major production companies include Viacom18 Studios, Anil Ambani’s Reliance Entertainment, Screwvala’s RSVP, T series, Lionsgate, Ekta’s Balaji Telefilms, Anushka’s Clean Slate Films, Endemol Shine, Condonast India, Vice Media, India Today and AwesomenessTV.

This is the largest single transaction announced by Netflix in India, and insiders say that more original content will be released by 2021. So far, the distribution of these 41 new games has exceeded the number released by Netflix India in the past few years. In 2020, Netflix released 31 Indian movies, including 10 TV series, 16 movies and 5 comedy specials. That is the product of the rupee. Netflix CEO Reed Hastings announced an investment of 30 billion rupees (approximately US$420 million) when visiting New Delhi at the end of 2019. Netflix did not provide new numbers on Wednesday’s “Next Steps in India”.
