MGA incubator Mission has announced four senior appointments as part of efforts to strengthen its UK and European operations and support its continued growth strategy.
The company has appointed Abz Shipon and James Gallagher as account directors, Courtenay Davison as director of technical delivery and Rayhanah Russell as project manager.
Mission provides managing general agents (MGAs) with infrastructure and support covering underwriting, operations, data, compliance, capacity and distribution. The latest appointments are designed to strengthen governance, operational coordination and project delivery as the platform continues to expand and support newly launched and established MGAs.

Shipon joins Mission from Hiscox where he held senior positions in planning, digital trading and operations. He previously held leadership positions at Capita Insurance Services.
In his new role, Shipon will focus on building and maintaining customer relationships, supporting business development opportunities, assisting with the launch of new MGAs and helping integrate new businesses into the Mission platform.
Gallagher joins the company from Tysers as a project manager. Prior to that, he spent nine years at Hiscox in roles spanning project management, leadership and service improvement.
At Mission, Gallagher will work with MGA partners to support business performance, assist with new product launches and maintain coordination of operational capabilities across the platform.
Davidson brings technology leadership experience in insurance and financial services. His background includes managing complex projects, leading teams and overseeing operational delivery of UK and international projects.
As head of technology delivery, Davidson will focus on strengthening the company’s technology delivery capabilities in the UK and Europe, supporting the rollout of new MGAs and enhancing the platform technology capabilities of existing businesses.
At Tokio Marine Group, Russell managed large-scale underwriting and operational transformation projects involving technology, data and platform development.
As Project Manager, Russell will oversee the organization of Mission’s project portfolio, supporting the development of the new MGA while improving oversight and coordination of ongoing programs.
