Global reinsurance brokerage and advisory firm Gallagher Re has appointed Minesh Jani as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), India, with effect from June 2026.
Jani is a veteran of the reinsurance industry with over thirty years of experience. Most recently, he served as Managing Director of the DIFC branch of Howden Insurance Brokers Limited.
Prior to this, he served as CEO of Ed MENA in Dubai for five years and as Reinsurance President of ARPL in Mumbai for six years.
At ARPL, Jani was responsible for portfolio structure and risk allocation for global markets, as well as reinsurance portfolio solutions for India and the Indian subcontinent.
In the past, he served as President of Willis Insurance Brokers Co., Ltd., Mumbai for more than four years and served as Director of BMS India and Regional Advisor to BMS UK for the Indian Subcontinent and Middle East. He was instrumental in establishing BMS’s India operations.
He started his career in 1996 as Reinsurance Manager for Africa at JB BODA Group and later served as Head of Reinsurance at ICICI Lombard for over two years, responsible for treaty and temporary reinsurance.
