Independent multinational insurance and reinsurance broker Malakut has announced the appointment of Sajith Kumar to the newly created role of chief commercial officer for the Middle East.
In this role, Kumar will be based out of the company’s Dubai headquarters and will lead Malakut Group’s regional sales, drive profit growth and strengthen its services across all areas.
Kumar brings three decades of industry experience. Prior to joining Malakut, he spent seven years with Howden, most recently as Managing Director and CEO of Howden UAE.
Prior to that, he spent 15 years at Marsh, most recently as Managing Director and Deputy CEO of Marsh Emirates.
Earlier in his career, Kumar worked with Warba Insurance and Reinsurance Company KSCP and National Insurance Co. Ltd.
