The Grand Tour’s Madagascar special-dubbed “The Grand Tour Presents: A Massive Hunt”-has been released on Amazon Prime Video one day in advance. On Thursday, the official channel of Grand Tour and the former Top Gear trio of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May announced on their social channels that the latest long story of the car series is now available. It was originally scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on Friday, but in the last-minute marketing stunt, it has been launched early.
This is the official feed from Amazon’s The Grand Tour Presents: A Massive Hunt:
The brave trio finds themselves back on the four wheels of the latest adventure. Richard, James and Jeremy are holding a sports car and are preparing for an easy road trip when they arrive on the exotic island of Reunion and race on the world’s most expensive tarmac. But a bizarre challenge brought them to Madagascar, where they had to deal with the most difficult road in the world.
As early as November, Prime Video announced the trailer and release date of The Grand Tour’s Madagascar special, which was only a year after we received the Vietnamese film. We see these three less and less, but this is because they have reached a new agreement with Amazon. After airing 38 episodes in three seasons from 2016 to 2019, The Grand Tour no longer uses a mixed studio and outdoor format. In addition to special programs, they will also host new solo performances (“Our Japan May”, I bought a farm for Clarkson).
During the pandemic, filmed the next special program of the 4th season tour in Scotland. The film will be released in 2021. Clarkson, Hammond, and May originally planned to shoot in Russia, but COVID-19 disrupted these plans.
The Madagascar special of the world tour has now been broadcast on Prime Video worldwide. It is only available in English audio, but it is worth seeing the subtitles in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
