LMA appoints Argenta’s Nick Moore and Apollo’s Vinay Mistry to its Board

Lloyds Market Association (LMA) has announced the appointment of Argenta CEO Nick Moore and Apollo chief commercial officer Vinay Mistry to its board of directors.

The LMA is governed by a Board of Directors, which sets the association’s overall strategy, direction and priorities. The Board of Directors is composed of senior market practitioners and LMA leaders.

AEGIS London chief executive Alex Powell and Ascot Group non-executive director Andrew Brooks both resigned from the LMA board at the end of their terms.

Sheila Cameron, chief executive of the Lloyd’s Market Association, said: “I am delighted to welcome Nick and Vinay to the LMA Board. Their experience and perspective will be invaluable as we continue to represent and support our members and the wider Lloyd’s Market. I would also like to thank Alex and Andrew for their significant contribution during their time in office.”

Sean McGovern, chief executive of UK & Lloyd’s and chairman of the Lloyd’s Market Association, added: “Nick and Vinay bring a wealth of experience across the market. I look forward to working with them as the board continues to guide the LMA’s priorities and deliver meaningful outcomes for its members.”

Moore has more than 20 years of industry experience and has served as CEO of Argenta Group since January 2023. Prior to this, he served as Managing Director of Argenta Syndicate Management Limited.

Earlier in his career, Moore held actuarial positions at Lloyd’s of London and Swiss Re.

Mistry joined Apollo in 2019 as Chief Risk Officer, Executive Director and has since played a key role in shaping the company’s risk strategy and governance.

He has served on several LMA committees, including as Chair of the CRO Committee and a founding member of the Sustainability Committee.

Prior to joining Apollo, Mistry served as Chief Risk Officer and Executive Director of The Channel Management Agency, a SCOR Syndicate 2015 Lloyd’s Authorized Administrator.

Previously, Mistry held a number of senior leadership roles at AEGIS London, Lloyd’s of London and Aviva.

Mistry said: “I am honored and excited to join the LMA Board. I have a long history of supporting the progress of the market and I look forward to further contributing to its development and working with the Board to drive meaningful change.”
