Leher is a social media application launched in 2018 and has begun to gain the attention of Indian users. It is considered an alternative to Clubhouse, India’s alternative audio chat app, which has recently gained popularity in the global technology industry-thanks to Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Facebook co-founder Used by famous people such as Mark Zuckerberg. Unlike Clubhouse, which only supports audio conversations, Leher allows users to share their ideas and discuss various topics in real-time videos. The app can also be downloaded on Android and iOS devices. This is not the case with Clubhouse, which is currently exclusively for iOS devices. The Leher app does not require any invitations, and Clubhouse is currently only invited, which is not the case.
Some Indian entrepreneurs have started to tweet about Leher. This may be due to the growing interest in finding Indian alternatives to global applications. Unlike Clubhouse, most of Leher’s ships are Indian users. This means you won’t see any global faces for discussion on the Indian app at this time.
But, despite this, Leher has over 100,000 downloads on Google Play, and at the time of writing, the average rating is 4.3 stars (out of 5 stars).
How to download and register Leher
After installation, you need to register to access discussions on the platform. The app does not require a prior invitation to register, which is different from Clubhouse which is currently an invitation-only platform.
To register, you can associate Leher with your existing Google or Facebook account, or you can log in using just your phone number. If you register with a Google account, the app will send you a link to verify your registration. If you use your phone number to register, it will send you a six-digit one-time password (OTP) that you need to enter. iPhone users can also register using the “Log in with Apple” option.
Now, your profile settings will be very popular. Leher will actually ask you to provide your first and last name, and the username you want to display on the app.
After that, it will display a page for entering a short resume and choosing whether you are a professional and your job title and company.
A new screen will now appear from which you can select your interests. This will help the app personalize your experience.
How to use Leher
After completing the registration process and creating a profile, you can use Leher to listen to or watch other people’s discussions. These people may be professionals, startup entrepreneurs, investors and marketers, etc. The app shows you real-time discussions and provides access to past discussions. You can also follow certain people on the app, and even ask them questions or send messages. Other users on the Leher app can also ask you questions or send messages to go to your profile for reading. In addition, you can invite others in your contacts to join the app. You can also share any recent discussions with others via Facebook, Twitter or other social media platforms.
The main screen of the Leher app also allows you to join upcoming discussions or network sharing with your people. You can also view the topics of upcoming discussions and the number of participants.
Leher also allows you to start your own discussion by clicking the plus (+) icon in the bottom bar. You need to write a topic for the discussion, and you can add some related tags to expand the coverage. You can also add media content, such as photos or links to discussion invitations. In addition, Leher allows you to arrange future discussions. You can also invite participants to discuss.
It is important to point out that you can choose to discuss in video format or audio only mode. The latter makes Leher very similar to Clubhouse.
Recently, Leher has also launched virtual clubs based on different interests-from guitar lovers and fitness enthusiasts to content creators and entrepreneurs. You can request to join any club available on the app, or you can create your own club for like-minded people.
