Kalepa names Audrey Howell as Head of Product

Kalepa, a company focused on artificial intelligence underwriting solutions, has appointed Audrey Howell as head of product, responsible for leading product vision and strategy and driving innovation through artificial intelligence advancements across the platform.

In her new role, Howell aims to provide the automation, risk intelligence and portfolio guidance that insurers rely on to grow premium profits.

Howell brings more than a decade of product leadership experience building technology products in complex, highly regulated industries.

Most recently, she served as product lead at Deep Origin, where she was responsible for building an integrated software platform for drug discovery.

Howell previously spent five years at Palantir Technologies, delivering mission-critical data platforms to some of the world’s most demanding organizations.

She subsequently joined Butterfly Network as Vice President of Product, where she led teams in all aspects of product development, including mobile, clinical imaging and AI application development, delivering FDA-regulated AI products to bring affordable ultrasound technology to clinicians around the world.

Kalepa CEO Paul Monasterio commented on the appointment: “Audrey is a rare product leader – deep technical expertise combined with a proven ability to deliver products that drive measurable results in some of the most rigorous and highly regulated environments.

“She consistently builds products that professionals trust to make the highest-stakes decisions in defense, healthcare and now risk. That’s exactly what we do at Kalepa and we’re excited to have her lead our product organization.”

Howell added: “Kalepa is already trusted by leading insurers to enhance underwriting performance and drive profitable growth, and I see tremendous opportunity to accelerate Kalepa’s penetration across the entire insurance value chain. I’m excited to work with Paul, Danny and the team to build the tools that define the future of insurance.”
