Industry veteran Xu Jun has joined the board of directors of Zhibao Labuan Reinsurance Co., Ltd., a China-based insurtech company specializing in digital insurance brokerage, as an independent director.
The executive has more than 30 years of senior leadership experience and brings deep international insurance and reinsurance expertise to the company’s leadership.
Her career has included senior leadership roles at some of China’s most respected international and domestic insurance institutions.

Ms Chee’s extensive background gives her a rare combination of regulatory insight, market development expertise and deep cross-border industry knowledge, which coincides with Smart Labuan’s strategic ambitions.
Most recently, the executive served as chief operating officer and deputy general manager at Lloyd’s Insurance (China) Ltd., where he held senior positions for more than 15 years.
In these roles, she played a key role in developing Lloyd’s China strategy, improving operational efficiency and advancing the MGA and underwriter models in the Chinese market.
In addition, Xu has a proven track record of building key relationships with regulators, government agencies, trade organizations and key industry stakeholders.
Notably, the executive facilitated the first Chinese entrepreneur to earn a spot in Lloyd’s Labs Issue 11, marking a proud milestone for innovation in China’s insurance industry.
Prior to joining Lloyd’s, Ms. Xu served as chief representative of the Shanghai Representative Office of Hannover Reinsurance Company and held senior management positions in the reinsurance department of Ping An Insurance Company of China.
