James River Group Holdings, Inc., an American specialty insurance company focused on excess and surplus lines and reinsurance solutions, announced that Kelly Hadiaris has returned to the company as senior vice president of excess casualty underwriting.
She will lead the excess casualties division of the company’s excess and surplus (E&S) division and report to Todd Sutherland, president of the E&S division.
Hadiaris has more than 20 years of experience in E&S insurance, with a strong background in technical underwriting, portfolio leadership and underwriting operations.
During her career, she has held senior underwriting roles at organizations including Markel, WR Berkley Corporation and Allianz. In these roles, she oversaw a complex casualty portfolio and led the underwriting team.
In his new role at James River, Hadiaris will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the excess casualty division while overseeing underwriting results and supporting disciplined, profitable expansion.
She previously worked at James River, where she contributed to the early development of the company’s excess and general casualty insurance portfolio. She returns with extensive industry experience and familiarity with the company’s underwriting philosophy and culture.
