Apple launched iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 at WWDC 2020, and has since been launched as a developer beta. Now, the giant based in Cupertino has announced that the first public beta versions of iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 have been released and are available for download. The latest version of iOS brings many new features, such as a new application library, home screen widgets, offline translation, etc.

iOS 14, iPadOS 14: Can I use iOS 14 on my iPhone or iPad?

Before checking if your device is eligible for the update, we recommend that you only install the Beta version on the secondary iPhone or iPad. Since this is a beta version, you may encounter some major errors. To avoid this situation, it is always recommended not to install Beta software on the main device. That being said, the following is a list of all eligible devices for iOS 14 and iPadOS 14.

iOS 14, iPadOS 14 public beta 1: How to download and install

Before proceeding and installing the latest software on the device, please make sure that a full backup has been made and the device has at least 50% battery or is connected to a charger. Now, follow the steps below.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, and visit Apple’s Beta Software Program website.
  2. Next, in with your Apple ID and register your device in the Apple Beta software program.
  3. After that, go to Set value > general > Software update You can get the latest iOS public beta on your iPhone or iPad.
  4. Wait for your device to complete the software download. Once completed, you can start the installation process and then install your iPhone or iPad on iOS 14 or iPadOS 14.
