OnePlus may become the next big name in the growing cryptocurrency market led by Bitcoin, as the Chinese company was found to be conducting an investigation on blockchain research. The survey aims to obtain user feedback on cryptocurrencies. The company is asking whether users have used trading platforms such as Coinbase, Gemini, Robinhood, and Binance. This seems to imply that OnePlus is involved in the field of cryptocurrency platforms/wallets. Bitcoin and other digital currencies (such as Ethereum and Dogecoin) have become very popular among young smartphone users, especially because of easy access to cryptocurrency trading applications. This may lead OnePlus to consider at least a local solution for storing cryptocurrency for its users-if not investing and trading.

As MySmartPrice initially reported, a survey called OnePlus Blockchain Research showed that the company is interested in building products around cryptocurrencies. Although from its title, the focus of the survey seems to be around the understanding of blockchain technology, some of the questions raised by its interviewees suggest that a new cryptocurrency platform is being developed, which may be used to store Bitcoin And other digital asset wallets.

The survey asks users whether they invest in cryptocurrencies and which platforms they use to invest. It also includes a question about understanding the problems and inconveniences encountered by investors when investing or holding cryptocurrencies. In addition, the company is seeking information on whether the respondent has used any “software hot wallets”, such as Coinbase Wallet or MetaMask.

Advertisement Shout has contacted OnePlus to comment on this matter and will update this space when the company responds.

Cryptocurrency is still a very volatile investment. If you have been reading or tracking Bitcoin prices in India, you will know. But despite this, technology companies seem to have plans to enter the cryptocurrency market.

Since the release of the Galaxy S10 in February 2019, Samsung, one of OnePlus’ competitors and leading smartphone suppliers, has been supporting Bitcoin and other popular cryptocurrencies on its Galaxy smartphones. This South Korean company provides its Blockchain Wallet to support popular coins. It also recently updated the wallet to support third-party hardware wallets.

A few days ago, Apple was also found interested in entering the world of cryptocurrency. The Cupertino-based company offers job openings for business development managers with experience in the cryptocurrency industry. It may be that the Apple device started to support bitcoin transactions locally.

Having said that, due to the volatility and chain reaction of traditional investors, traditional investors are still reluctant to invest too much in cryptocurrencies, which means that a price drop will also affect other cryptocurrencies.
