Rohit Sharma is of the team that will take on Leicester in a four-day tour ahead of the decisive Test match against England at Edgbaston in Birmingham on July 1. Rohit batted in the first innings on Thursday but did not appear to bat in India’s second innings on Saturday. In the first inning of the warm-up, he ran for 25 points.

India lead 2-1 in the Test series against England. Rohit led India to a 2-0 victory over Sri Lanka earlier this year. If he recovers in time for the Edgbaston game, it will be his first Test away as India captain.
