Huawei MateBook 16 and Huawei Smart Screen SE TV have been launched in China. The Huawei MateBook 16 laptop uses a 3:2 display and is powered by an AMD Ryzen 5000H processor. The laptop adopts a stylish design and is equipped with a large 84Whr battery. Huawei Smart Screen SE is a mid-range TV, available in 55-inch and 65-inch sizes. Except for the difference in display size, both TV models have exactly the same feature set.
Huawei MateBook 16, Huawei Smart Screen SE price, availability
The Huawei MateBook 16 starts at RMB 6,299 (approximately Rs 71,500). It can be booked in China through Vmall. The laptop is available in two colors-Space Gray and Haoyue Silver. Huawei MateBook 16 will go on sale on June 1.
On the other hand, the 55-inch model of Huawei Smart Screen SE is priced at RMB 3,299 (approximately Rs 37,400), and the 65-inch model is priced at RMB 4,299 (approximately Rs 48,800). It can be pre-ordered through Vmall and will go on sale on June 1. It uses a single interstellar black. It is not clear when these two products will be sold on the international market.
Huawei MateBook 16 specifications
Huawei MateBook 16 runs on Windows 10 Home. It has a 16-inch (2,520 x 1,680 pixels) IPS display with an aspect ratio of 3:2, a screen-to-body ratio of 90%, and a pixel density of 189ppi. It provides 300 nits of brightness and 178 degree viewing angle. The laptop is powered by two CPU options-AMD Ryzen 7 5800H or AMD Ryzen 5 5600H processors-paired with AMD Radeon Graphics, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD.
The connection options for Huawei MateBook 16 include dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, two USB Type-C ports, two USB Type-A ports, HDMI, and 3.5 mm combo jack. The battery power of the laptop is 84Whr, which can last 12.5 hours of local 1080p video playback. It has a full-size backlit keyboard and a fingerprint sensor on the power button. There is a 720p HD webcam, two speakers, two microphones on board, and the laptop weighs about 1.99 kilograms.
Huawei Smart Screen SE function
The new Huawei Smart Screen SE runs on HarmonyOS 2 and is supported by the Honghu Smart chip. It has a borderless display design and comes in 55-inch and 65-inch sizes. Both LCD monitors offer a screen resolution of 3,840×2,160 pixels, an aspect ratio of 16:9, Rhine eye protection and a 92% DCI-P3 color gamut. There is a 13-megapixel AI magnetic camera on the top of the TV with a 180-degree rotating fixture that can be moved to find the ideal angle during video calls. If the user wishes, thanks to the magnetic attachment, it can be easily disassembled.
Huawei Smart Screen SE can store up to 16GB RAM and supports dual-band Wi-Fi. It has multiple ports, including 2 HDMI 2.0 ports, 1 AV input, 1 USB Type-A, 1 SPDIF port, 1 RJ45 and 1 DTMB. Other features include the home camera function, which allows the TV to act as a viewfinder when clicking a photo; supports DLNA/Miracast dual-protocol screen projection; supports Huawei sharing, which can transfer photos and files on a large screen. It is paired with the Smart Life application on the smartphone. There is also a child mode to help parents control what their children are watching.
