Global insurance and reinsurance brokerage group Howden has announced the appointment of Elizabeth Neumann as executive vice president (EVP), head of financial insurance claims.
Based in New York, Neumann will be part of the US Financial Lines management team, led by Ron Borys, who was appointed group head of Howden US Financial Lines in October 2025.
Together, Neumann and Borys will continue to build a national financial services business as Howden US expands its professional services business.
Neumann joins Howden from CAC Specialty, where for the past two years he served as head of the U.S. Financial Lines Legal and Claims practice, where he was responsible for claims operations, client defense and loss recovery.
Prior to that, she spent eight years at AXIS, most recently as Director of Professional Liability Claims, leading nearly 50 claims professionals across the United States and Canada.
Earlier in his career, Neumann spent ten years at CNA Insurance, most recently as assistant vice president, Financial Institutions and Technology Claims.

Aon’s Uri Dallal was also recently named executive vice president of Financial Lines, Howden’s recently launched U.S. retail products, where he will become part of the U.S. Financial Lines management team.
