Pioneer hip-hop artist and businessman Snoop Dogg stated that he believes in Bitcoin, the (blockchain) technology behind crypto assets and the global connections it creates. The celebrity added that even though he did not “too much catching up with the value of the coin,” he has been around long enough to “know it will stay here.”

Fashion that is not a pandemic

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Snoop Dogg (born Calvin Cordoza Broders Jr.) also talked about the potential of this technology and why the popularity of BTC should not be regarded as an outdated fashion. He said:

The future is unfolding before us. I don’t think this is an epidemic, an epidemic just sets natural gas on fire.

At the same time, when asked if there will be a “snoop coin” at some point, the hip-hop artist told the interviewer, “You damn it.”

Defend NFT

At the same time, Snoop Dogg also discussed the non-fungible token (NFT) asset and how to set it as the “next big thing.” According to Snoop Dogg, NFT provided him with direct contact with fans and the community. In defending the NFT, the hip-hop star added:

Unlike you buying one of my records or downloading my songs, I cannot establish contact with you. Have you dug? With NFT, I can. I plan to continue to interact with fans who bought this artwork.

He added that with NFT, “there is no longer a platform or an intermediary to filter my messages.” Instead, fans will have original works and limited works of the artist.

Snoop Dogg is no stranger to the digital asset Bitcoin (BTC), because the rap phenomenon is one of the first hip-hop artists to accept BTC albums. In fact, Bitcoin.com’s news desk reported on many rap stars who may be crypto millionaires. Snoop Dogg sold a copy of his album for 0.3 BTC as early as 2013 and stated that his next album will be “available in the form of bitcoin delivered by drone.”
