Marsh, a global company specializing in insurance broking and risk management, has announced the appointment of Helen Haggie as Marsh Risk UK Chief Claims Officer, effective July 20, 2026.
In his new role, Haggie will have overall responsibility for delivering excellent service to Marsh Risk’s UK clients throughout the claims process. She will leverage Marsh’s extensive claims experience and data to support clients in making more complex and informed risk management and risk transfer decisions.
She will be based in London and report to Marsh Risk UK head of placement Tom Davies and Marsh Risk global chief claims officer Rob Powell.
Haggie joined Marsh in 2013 as a complex claims associate and currently leads Marsh Risk’s FINPRO UK management responsibility team, responsible for placing administrative lines insurance into the London insurance market on behalf of Marsh’s UK and global clients.
Prior to joining Marsh, she spent eight years in private practice at Herbert Smith Freehills, specializing in insurance and reinsurance disputes.
Davies commented: “Helen’s deep claims experience and London market experience across product lines, combined with her background in insurance dispute resolution, means she is well-positioned to deliver our UK claims service with a strong focus on client experience and outcomes. She will also accelerate existing strategies to ensure our clients fully benefit from Marsh’s claims experience and knowledge to inform their placement decisions.”
Haggie added: “Resolving claims promptly and fairly is the standard by which the insurance industry is rightly judged. I look forward to working with our team and the London market to ensure customers have a seamless, trustworthy claims experience. I am also excited to continue to find innovative ways to bring the benefits of Marsh’s comprehensive claims experience and unparalleled data sets to our customers, enabling smarter risk management and risk transfer decisions.”
