Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets Syndicate (Munich Re Syndicate GmbH), the managing agent of Syndicate 457, has announced the appointment of Stephanie Ogden to lead the organization, effective March 1, 2026.
Ogden will succeed Thomas Artmann, who led the Syndicate until his retirement.
In her new role, she will be responsible for driving Munich Re Syndicate GmbH’s long-term strategy.
She will join Munich Re from HDI Global SE, where she has worked for the past six years, most recently as CEO UK and Ireland.
Prior to joining HDI, Ogden was a supervisory manager at Lloyd’s and spent almost ten years at Allianz Insurance in various senior roles, most recently as Scottish Branch Manager.
Commenting on Ogden’s departure, David Hullin, member of HDI’s global executive committee, said: “Steph has made a significant contribution to our UK and Ireland business, successfully delivering our local strategy and strengthening our market position and customer relationships. We wish her all the best for the future.”
Ogden said in a recent LinkedIn post: “After leading HDI for many years with great results, I am delighted to join Munich Re Major – Global Markets Syndicate. The team led by Thomas has built an outstanding business. I am honored to join and excited to work together to drive it forward.”
