Guidewire, known for delivering cloud solutions tailored to property and casualty insurance companies, is positioning its newly released Olos as a significant advancement in the way the industry manages pricing, underwriting and workers’ compensation claims.
The company sees Olos as a series of enhancements designed to increase operational speed and precision while enabling insurers to update core systems and workflows.
Guidewire highlights PricingCenter as the core of the release, describing it as a unified environment that brings together every stage of pricing and rating.
The company explains that this approach eliminates manual steps scattered across actuarial, pricing and IT teams while enabling dynamic modeling, impact analysis and AI-powered insights. Through tight integration with other Guidewire applications, insurance companies can introduce rate updates with greater efficiency.
Guidewire explained that Olos also debuted Underwriting Assistant, the first agent AI feature in Guidewire UnderwritingCenter. Guidewire offers this capability as a way to automate ingestion, classification and data enrichment to enable underwriters to make decisions faster and with greater confidence.
Guidewire continues to build out UnderwritingCenter, an upcoming end-to-end intelligent underwriting platform that combines GenAI-driven support with workflow automation to improve submission management and enhance risk assessment.
Guidewire also values Olos’ contributions to workers’ compensation. The company notes that insurers gain more granular segmentation within Claims Center, allowing teams to direct tasks more accurately and track cases with greater clarity.
The company added that embedded predictive analytics provide forward-looking insights into legal exposure, medical severity, payment likelihood and estimated losses, which helps insurers support return-to-work outcomes while controlling associated costs.
Guidewire points out several other enhancements included in Olos. Guidewire Rules Service enables centralized rule management through a visual rule designer, allowing insurers to respond to new requirements without having to adjust code or delay deployment. Guidewire’s APD Transformation helps organizations move existing product definitions into Advanced Product Designer for easy migration to the cloud.
The company also highlighted that predictive claims Intel models can now be integrated into InsuranceNow Analytics, allowing insurers to improve adjuster assignments, reserve monitoring and provider decisions. The Guidewire GenAI service and Agentic framework provide the foundation for creating and managing secure, context-aware AI agents capable of performing complex insurance tasks throughout their lifecycle.
“PricingCenter provides insurance companies with a single platform to quickly and confidently model, test and deploy pricing changes,” said Dawid Kopczyk, senior director of pricing and ratings at Guidewire. “By unifying workflows, it enables actuaries, ratings developers and IT teams to build advanced models and reduce the speed of rate changes from months to days to provide insurance customers with the best possible pricing.”
“With Olos, insurance companies are unlocking a new era of intelligence and agility,” added Diego Devalle, chief product development officer at Guidewire. “This release enables insurance companies to update rates faster, enhance claims decisions, and accelerate team response times to provide a better experience for policyholders.”
