A Game of Thrones sequel focused on fan-favorite, unkillable character Jon Snow is in early development on HBO, according to The Hollywood Trade Report.
The Hollywood Reporter and Variety, citing unnamed sources, say Kit Harington — his stoic warrior Snow was last seen removed from West in the finale of Thrones Lowe’s Deportation – If the spinoff series goes ahead, he’ll be linked to the star.
HBO declined to comment, and Harrington’s representatives did not immediately respond to AFP’s request for comment.
If the show gets the green light, it will be the latest in a rapidly expanding world of television based on George R. R. Martin’s fantasy novels.
Three live-action prequel series are already in the works — including “House of the Dragon,” which hit theaters in August — as well as three animated prequels.
But the Jon Snow series is said to be the first set after the events of the smash hit Game of Thrones, which caused deep divisions in its final season in 2019.
