He said on Thursday that Jason Miller, a former senior adviser to former U.S. President Donald Trump, has opened a social media site called Gettr.

Gettr is a Twitter-style platform with posts and hot topics. It advertises itself as “an unbiased social network for people all over the world” in Google and Apple App Stores. Politico first reported the news.

After the riots in which his supporters stormed the Capitol on January 6, the former president was blocked by a large number of websites, Miller has been teasing the Trump team for planning to launch a new social media platform for months. However, Trump does not have a verified account on Gettr.

In an interview with Fox News, Miller said that he wants Trump to join, but the former president is considering multiple options. He said Trump did not provide funding for the platform.

Trump was permanently banned from using Twitter, and was suspended by Facebook and Alphabet’s YouTube until at least 2023, until the company determined that the risk of violence had been reduced.

Trump recently closed a short blog on his website and joined the video platform Rumble before a campaign rally in Ohio last weekend.

A Trump spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
