Fidelis entered into long-term, portfolio-wide partnership with OAK Global at Jan 1

Fidelis Insurance Group completed its investment in Oak Global late last year, and the company confirmed on its recent 4Q25 earnings call that it has renewed its portfolio-wide partnership with Lloyd’s Reinsurance on January 1, 2026.

In September 2025, OAK Re announced that it would change the group’s image to OAK Global, launch OAK Enterprise, the home of Syndicate 1440, and obtain approval from Lloyd’s to start underwriting retrocession business in January 2026.

In addition to Syndicate 1440, OAK Reinsurance, OAK Global’s flagship strategic business unit, continues to underwrite primary reinsurance through Lloyd’s Syndicate 2843.

Speaking on the company’s Q4’25 earnings call, Fidelis Insurance Group Group Chief Actuarial Officer Jonathan Strickle revealed that the company has “a portfolio-wide partnership with Oak Global to fund its syndicate at Lloyd’s and a long-term commitment that we intend to expand as their business grows.”

Strickle went on to highlight OAK Global’s leadership’s “record of exceptional performance” and “the strong culture of data-driven talent they have built” as reasons for the partnership.

“OAK is bringing rigorous specialist capabilities to the market, underpinned by technology, data-driven insights and deep expertise, filling a gap in the Lloyd’s market for a reinsurance-focused platform at scale.

“By committing meaningful long-term underwriting capital, we support OAK’s expertise and structural opportunities and work with a platform built for durability across market cycles,” Strickle added.
