Global insurance and reinsurance broking group Howden has announced the appointment of Eugene Lim as head of Asia tax insurance.
In his new role, Lim will lead Howden’s tax advisory and insurance capabilities across the region, working with clients to resolve complex tax risk issues in transactions, restructurings and ongoing operations.
His responsibilities will focus on providing clients with practical and commercially savvy solutions to the increasingly complex tax environment in Asia.
Lim joins Howden from Marsh Asia, where he served as head of Asia tax risk and senior vice president of private equity and M&A services.
Prior to this, he served as a senior tax manager in PwC’s Singapore real estate and hospitality practice, with over 10 years of experience providing fund structuring and tax optimization advice for real estate and infrastructure investments in the Asia-Pacific region.
Commenting on Lam’s recent appointment, a Howden spokesperson said: “His experience will be a great addition to our Asia platform and we look forward to the expertise and leadership he brings to Howden.”
