Global insurance and reinsurance broker Marsh has announced the appointment of Dereck Wischmeyer as senior advisor to its global digital infrastructure industry practice.
In this role, Wischmeyer will lead Marsh’s contract strategy across leases, customer agreements, supplier contracts and partnerships to help clients address risks associated with asset lifecycles and reinvestment timing.
He has 12 years of professional legal and business expertise in digital infrastructure and data center ecosystems.
Wischmeyer joins Marsh from Ark Data Centers where she served as general counsel, where she led legal strategy and execution in the digital infrastructure space, aligning legal operations with business objectives in construction law, real estate transactions, land use and regulatory compliance.
Prior to that, he served as executive vice president and general counsel at Everstream Solutions, where he was responsible for risk management, acquisitions, integrations and refinancing. He has also held legal positions at Crown Castle and Lightower Networks.
