Dale Underwriting Partners, trading name of Lloyd’s Syndicate 1729 of Dale Management Agency Limited, has appointed Richard Bonnett as group underwriter to strengthen its North American casualty reinsurance business.
Based in London, Bonnett will report to Peter Cordell, director of North America Casualty. Dell explained that the appointment reflects its continued investment in its casualty platform and its focus on building a best-in-class product portfolio in its target market segments.
In his new role, Bonnett will be responsible for expanding Dell’s workers’ compensation and general liability reinsurance capabilities and enhancing the company’s casualty reinsurance products.
He has more than 25 years of reinsurance market experience, specializing in the U.S. casualty business, with extensive expertise in general casualty and workers’ compensation reinsurance on an exposure and conflict basis, as well as underwriting experience in specialty lines.
Bonnett began his career at Chaucer in 2000 and spent 14 years in the US casualty treaty team before joining MS Amlin in 2014 as lead underwriter in the reinsurance business unit.
