Chubb appoints Chris Colahan to lead Commercial Property & Casualty in Asia Pacific

Chubb, a major US insurance company, announced the appointment of Chris Colahan as head of commercial property and casualty insurance for Asia Pacific, effective February 9, 2026.

In this role, Colahan will oversee the strategy and performance of Chubb’s commercial property and casualty business in the Asia Pacific region, with overall responsibility for operations and portfolio management.

He will report jointly to Marcos Gunn, president of Chubb Overseas General’s Asia Pacific region, and Brian Church, president of Chubb Overseas General’s property and casualty division. Colahan will also become a member of Chubb’s Asia Pacific executive committee.

Colahan joins Chubb from AIG, where he served as president of Asia Pacific. His early career included senior leadership roles with Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance in London and Australia, as well as extensive experience with RSA Insurance in the region. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Bond University.
