Commercial property and casualty insurer and reinsurer WR Berkley Corporation has named Christopher T. Reichardt president of Berkley Oil & Gas.
In his new role, Reichardt succeeds Linda A. Eppolito, who will serve as chair of the business unit. Both appointments are effective immediately.
As a business unit, Berkeley Oil & Gas provides specialty underwriting, risk control services and expert claims management to clients in the petroleum sector, including operators, drillers, geophysical contractors, well service contractors, equipment suppliers and oilfield product manufacturers/distributors.
Reichardt has more than 20 years of experience in the oil and gas insurance industry, including more than 15 years with Berkley Oil & Gas.
Most recently, he served as the business unit’s senior vice president and chief underwriting officer.
