Hamilton Insurance Group has appointed Christopher R. Stella as chief claims officer for Hamilton Select, the primary carrier of its domestic U.S. excess and surplus (E&S) business.
Stella has over 20 years of property and casualty claims experience and has been with Chubb for over 18 years in a range of claims leadership positions of increasing responsibility.
Most recently, he served as director of property and casualty claims for Chubb’s E&S division, Westchester.
Earlier in her career, Stella held environmental claims and compliance leadership roles at various companies, including AIG.
In his new role, he will be based remotely in the United States and lead Hamilton Select’s claims organization.
Stella will join Hamilton Select CEO Anita Kuchma commented: “Chris is a well-respected claims leader with deep technical expertise and a proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
