The founder of Decentraland, a company that founded Big Time Studios, hopes to introduce NFT solutions into the popular gaming world. This week, Ari Meilich’s company revealed that it will raise $21 million in funding in two parts. Investors participating in the initial $10.3 million financing include FBG Capital, Alameda Research, Sound Ventures, Circle Financial, North Island Ventures and Digital Currency Group.

The NFT economy is developing rapidly, and members of the Big Time Studios team come from large game companies such as Blizzard, Epic Games, Riot Games and Electronic Arts. To make things go smoothly, the company is building a multiplayer action role-playing game (RPG) with multiple NFT collectibles.

The website says: “Big Time is a multiplayer action role-playing game where you can travel through time and space with your friends.” “Explore ancient mysteries and future civilizations as you travel through history. Collect rare and legendary NFTs Items to decorate your avatar and personal time machine, where you can hang out with friends.”

“We are creating all the technologies so that game companies can easily do this,” Meric explained in an interview. “The way the game is designed, people with zero blockchain experience will start to collect NFTs with real value without having to understand the meaning of blockchain technology in advance,” the executive of Big Time Studios further said.

Attract a wider audience through NFT collections

Currently, the Big Time game is not yet available, and interested parties can leave their email addresses for more information. Meilich hopes that Big Time Studios can “bring blockchain games to mass market audiences.” By serving as the co-founder and CEO of Decentraland, Meilich said that over the years, the team has learned a lot about NFT.

One thing Meric learned is that there are very few “technical audiences” for NFT, and Big Time Studios plans to see the project used by millions of people. “We understand that based on the current user experience, we cannot do this. This requires setting up wallets and allowing people to customize their assets. If you misplace your private keys, you may lose them forever.” As of press time, there are not many people.
