Berkeley Asia Insurance has announced the appointment of Kenneth Cheong as Head of Asia Marine, effective April 1, 2026, succeeding Lee Ju-Ann.
As part of the leadership development of Berkeley Insurance’s Asia Maritime team, Lee Ju-Ann will take on the newly created role of Senior Advisor and Talent Development Leader within the organization.
“Ju-Ann has been the driving force behind our Marine franchise since its inception. Over the past decade, she has built the business from the ground up; assembling a talented team, earning deep market respect, and building a growing portfolio,” a Berkeley spokesperson said.
Adding: “We are grateful for her outstanding leadership and are pleased that she will continue to share her strategic insights and passion for developing insurance talent in Asia at Berkeley.”
Kenneth Cheong initially joined Berkeley Asia Insurance in 2025 as Deputy Head of Asia Marine. Prior to this, he was HDI Global SE’s Singapore Ocean Freight Underwriting Manager and served as an underwriter for HDI.
“Kenneth’s appointment reflects the caliber of the team that Juan has built. His expertise, market relationships and leadership skills make him a natural choice to lead the team into its next chapter,” Berkley said.
