Battlegrounds Mobile India has been announced as the Indian version of PUBG Mobile, with some new privacy policy standards. South Korean publisher Krafton said that players under the age of 18 need to share the phone number of their parents or guardians in order to play the game. This may be one of several changes the company must make to enable Indian audiences to use Battlegrounds Mobile India. As of now, the developers have not shared the release date of the game.

Recall that PUBG Mobile was banned in India along with 117 other apps in September 2020. Since then, Krafton has been working hard to republish the game in the Indian market. Now, it finally looks like Battlegrounds Mobile India has succeeded-this is a dedicated game for the Indian market. A few months ago, the developers shared that they will make several changes to the Indian version of the game, one of which has been disclosed as part of the new privacy policy.

As stated on the game’s official website, players under the age of 18 must provide the phone number of their parent or guardian in order to play Battlegrounds Mobile India. The reason for this may be that the original PUBG Mobile game was criticized for the violence of the parents. With the new privacy policy, parents can control children under the age of 18 and can decide whether they can play games.

“When playing our games, we will not knowingly collect, use or share any personal information of children under the age of 18 without informed parental consent or legal permission. If you are under 18, we will ask you to provide your parents Or the mobile phone number of the guardian to confirm that you are legally eligible to play the game. If a parent or guardian believes that their child has provided personal information without their consent, they can contact the developer and request that the information be deleted from the system .

In terms of what information is collected, the policy stipulates that developers will not collect information directly from the player. Detailed information such as device information, IP address, and browsing behavior when using the site and/or service will be collected automatically.

Battlegrounds Mobile India has a new logo in orange, white and green to represent the Indian flag. It will bring a series of India-specific in-game events at launch, which will be announced later. It will be pre-registered before release.
