The ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition and ASUS ROG Strix G17 Advantage Edition gaming laptops were released shortly after AMD launched its latest generation Radeon mobile graphics card at Computex 2021. The new gaming laptop is equipped with AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU and the newly released Radeon RX 6800M graphics card. This makes ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition and ASUS ROG Strix G17 Advantage Edition the first two gaming laptops to provide AMD’s highest-end mobile CPU and highest-end mobile GPU in one version.
The pricing and sales date of ASUS ROG Strix G15 Premium Edition and ASUS ROG Strix G17 Premium Edition have not been announced yet. The company said that the ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition will be available soon, and the ASUS ROG Strix G17 Advantage Edition will be on the shelves sometime in the third quarter of this year.

Both ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition and ASUS ROG Strix G17 Advantage Edition gaming laptops are equipped with 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch displays with a refresh rate of up to 300Hz and a response time of 3ms. Both displays will also support AMD FreeSync Premium technology. Both laptops are equipped with 90Whr batteries and claim to provide up to 11.4 hours of video playback. In addition, the laptop also provides fast charging support, which can charge up to 50% in 30 minutes.
These two laptops are equipped with AMD SmartShift, which can automatically adjust the load of the CPU and GPU. This new technology is said to increase performance by up to 15%. The AMD Ryzen 9 59000 HX octa-core CPU powers notebook computers and the new Radeon RX 6800M GPU based on the new RDNA 2 architecture. The laptop is equipped with up to 32GB of RAM and up to 1TB of SSD. Ports include 3.5mm audio jack, HDMI 2.0, three USB Type-A slots, one USB Type-C port and one RJ45 LAN port. Connection options include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth v5.1. ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition and Asus ROG Strix G17 Advantage Edition have two 4W speakers, each speaker uses smart amplifier technology, AI microphone noise reduction and built-in array microphone.
