By connecting Equinix’s Smartkey HSM with Bluzelle’s communication module, the exchange between the blockchain network and the verifier node can be uninterrupted without exposing the private key protected by the HSM.
Potential of all validators
The novel solution proposed by Bluzelle will reduce all obstacles in the operation process, because it greatly reduces the cost of running cloud-based nodes without compromising security. This effectively opens the door for anyone who wants to become a network verifier who uses ordinary computers.
The inclusion of an enterprise-level HSM means that verifiers do not have to build a private infrastructure, but can benefit from the affordable costs of using providers such as Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud. In addition, cloud hosting can provide the high speed and high performance required to maintain the credibility of validator nodes.
The new stakeout solution will only be applicable to Cosmos from the beginning.
