Insurance and reinsurance brokerage Aon has appointed Ben Jones as its new chief operating officer (COO) for Asia Pacific (APAC), effective December 8, 2025, based in Singapore.
In his new role, Jones will work with the broker’s regional and global teams to strengthen its operating model, support growth and deliver an exceptional experience to regional clients and colleagues.
Jones has nearly 35 years of industry experience, having started his career in 1991 as Bank Advisory, Insolvency and Receivership Crowe Manager at Horwath International in Sydney.
He subsequently held various management positions at HIH Insurance, including Director of Financial Institutions, Head of M&A Integration, Internal Audit Manager and Financial Accounting Manager.
Most recently, Jones served as Manulife’s chief transformation and operations officer, and before that, he briefly served as country chief transformation officer at Allianz Ayudhya in Bangkok.
Prior to this, he served as Head of Operations for Allianz Asia Pacific and Head of Transition and Operational Partnerships at IAG.
Jones also spent more than seven years at AIG, serving as regional operations director for commercial insurance in Asia Pacific, vice president of operations for Asia Pacific and regional manager of operations and systems for Australia.
He also served as Senior Manager, Business Improvement at Westfield and held various roles at Allianz for over five years, including Global Sustainability Initiative – SME Insurance and Business Reengineering Consultant, General Manager Operations, Country Operations Manager and Strategy & Business Development Manager.
